WOODSTOCK, Va. — The Town of Woodstock will conduct fire hydrant flushing throughout the east side of its water distribution system from April 27 through May 1, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. each night.
Hydrant flushing helps prevent buildup in water lines, tests hydrants and valves, and allows for minor maintenance to ensure continued water quality and fire protection.
Residents may experience temporary low water pressure and discolored water during this period. The town advises running cold water until it clears before using hot water or washing laundry. Water may also accumulate on roadways, and drivers are urged to use caution.
Questions can be directed to the Town Office at (540) 459-3621 or the Public Works Department at (540) 459-3045 during business hours. More information is available at www.woodstockva.gov.
